Milbank School District Character Themes

The core values of the Milbank School District are nine values that transcend cultures, religion, and time.  These values provide a guide for all students and staff as they work and learn together.

Click on a month to find descriptions of the given value. Then, do the following using a new paragraph for each number below:

  1) Provide your own personal definition of the value.  You may use the ideas provided, but be sure to use your own words and style.
  2) Explain what the value means to you (why is it important?).
  3) Describe two or three real-life or possible real-life situations that serve as an example of the value (tell what happens or happened).
  4) How do others (someone you know...famous person, family member, friend, etc.) show this value?  How do you show this value to others?
  5) What can you do or change in order to make this value more present in your life?
