Respect

• Being courteous to everyone (peers, adults, and self)
• Using manners
• Taking care of school property, personal property, and the world's environment
• Listening to and following those positions of authority
• Demonstrating self-confidence and positive self-esteem

DIRECTIONS (follow carefully):
*Put a header at the top of your Word document.  Include your name, period, and date in the header.
*Include the title under your header with a font size between 18 and 28 (in this case, your title should be "Respect").
*Answer at least four of the five questions below in your writing:
       1) Provide your own personal definition of the value.  You may use the ideas provided above or on the poster in this classroom, but be sure to use your own words and style.
       2) Explain what respect means to you (why is it important, what would Milbank and/or our school be like without it?).
       3) Describe two or three real-life or possible real-life situations that serve as an example of the value (tell what happens or happened).
       4) How do others (someone you know...famous person, family member, friend, etc.) show this value?  How do you show this value to others? 
       5) What can you do or change in order to make this value more present in your life?
*Your writing should be at least two paragraphs long (this is NOT to be very long; maximum font size limit is 14).
*This is due in the Middle School Dropbox on or before Friday, September 24.  It can also be written on paper.  
*We will be doing one of these writings each month on a different character word.
*These writings are worth 20 quiz points each!  Take your time and do them correctly!!
