ENGLISH FINAL TEST

English Final Test:  The Writing Part

This writing test must be typed on the computer.  It is worth 15 test points.  Have somebody proofread it; that will not be considered cheating!  A picture of your "interviewee" or place/room must be inserted at the top.

Interview Questions:
  1) How many years have you taught or been employed by a school?  (includes all schools)

  2) How many years have you taught or worked in this building (MMS)?

  3) What subjects have you taught while at MMS?

  4) What is your single best memory that took place inside this school building (could be strange, funny, exciting, gross, etc.)?

  5) How do you feel about being in the “new” Middle School?   …and/or…  How do you think being in the “new” building is working out?

 Sample Report:
I interviewed Mr. Beck.  He is currently the English teacher at Milbank High School.  He also is the head wrestling coach.  Mr. Beck began teaching in 1973.  He moved to Milbank in 1977 and has been teaching here ever since.  He has taught English to juniors and sophomores for 27 years in Milbank.

Mr. Beck’s single best memory while teaching at Mibank High School came in 1987.  It was his proudest moment.  His student at the time, Greg Cantine, read his very first novel from cover to cover.  Mr. Beck said, “Greg read every single page of that book over the course of three weeks.”  Mr. Beck inspired him to do this.  With all of his fond memories at Milbank High School, he feels like it will be sad to leave Milbank High School behind.  “My tears will flow, and my heart will ache,” whispered Mr. Beck.

***Note:  The more questions that you feel like asking, the easier it will be to write your report.  Use your gut feeling and have extra questions prepared!

Description of place or room:

**Answer the following questions:  who, what, why, when, where, and how.

Sample Report:
The laundry room is located on the south side of the school.  It is between the lunchroom and the woodshop rooms.  It is on the lower level of the school, which makes it easier to take the wet clothes out to the clothesline.  The laundry room is approximately 25 feet by 30 feet, and it has four windows on the south side of the room.  It also has two chalkboards for some unknown reason.

Mr. Dryer and Mrs. Tide are responsible for washing all clothes in this room.  They have been doing this since 1963.  Students were able to take a clothes washing class from 1973 through 1978.  The largest class that they ever taught was 24, while the smallest class had just three students.  Mr. Dryer and Mrs. Tide enjoy working in this room because of the extraordinary paint job.  They also like the hours.  They work on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 to 2:45.
